Summary

Join Orchard Mortgage, an affiliate of Orchard, as a Loan Officer and build excellent relationships with Orchard agents and customers to win their future loan business. This full-time, remote position, based in the Greater Denver area, requires attending monthly agent networking events. You will consult with clients, build relationships with real estate agents, and be the go-to person for home financing needs. The role involves closing a high percentage of leads, managing a pipeline of 10-15 loans monthly, and collaborating with other Orchard teams. Weekend coverage is required once a month. Compensation includes a draw against commission with a 3-month ramp period, benefits, and company equity.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years experience with lending experience and an active NMLS license or registered (Colorado required)
  • Strong consultative sales skills to get our customers the best financial outcome and help them understand the programs available to them
  • A passion for customer service and relationship building with keeping both our customers and agents in the loop on what is going on, even if that is after hours or on a weekend
  • Deep knowledge of guidelines pertaining to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA with the ability to provide high quality pre-approvals/pre-qualifications (bonus if you also are familiar with common non-QM programs and reno/construction loans)

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients about current needs and financing solutions to help them achieve their financial goals including Orchard Mortgageโ€™s unique offerings such as our Equity Advance loan
  • Build great relationships with Orchardโ€™s real estate agents and collaborate with them to create a great home buying experience for our customers
  • Be โ€œgo to personโ€ for all home financing related needs that our customers or agents have including being the expert on our Equity Advance loan and Move First offering
  • Close a high percentage of captive leads and manage pipeline of at least 10-15 loans per month, primarily purchases with some refinances
  • Work collaboratively with other teams across the Orchard ecosystem in Real Estate and Title Operations to provide the best customer outcomes
  • Support weekend coverage once per month to ensure customers have the support they need even on weekends

Preferred Qualifications

Technology savvy with the ability to learn and work with new systems especially as the mortgage world progresses. Preference for experience with Blend and Byte (or similar systems)
