Logistics Manager

Summary

Join Slice, a company empowering local pizzerias with technology and resources, as their Logistics Manager. You will be responsible for building and managing a fast, cost-efficient, and scalable logistics operation that delivers high-quality supplies to thousands of independent pizzerias. This role involves managing vendor relationships, coordinating freight, leading last-mile delivery operations, and collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure timely and efficient product delivery. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, troubleshooting delivery issues, tracking key logistics metrics, and continuously improving the logistics network. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in execution and is comfortable navigating ambiguity and collaborating across functions.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience across end-to-end logistics, with an emphasis on last-mile delivery execution
• Experience with route planning, optimization, and managing fleet performance
• A track record of managing freight from supplier to warehouse and between distribution centers
• Confidence working with carriers on quotes, contracts, performance metrics, and claims
• Skilled in identifying and resolving delivery challenges including missed SLAs, detention, and demurrage
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external partners
• Is analytical and detail-oriented but fast-moving and focused on outcomes
• Brings curiosity, urgency, and a problem-solving mindset to everyday challenges

Responsibilities

• Manage vendor relationships, coordinate inbound and inter-warehouse freight, and lead last-mile delivery operations including fleet oversight, route optimization, and delivery performance
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure products are delivered on time with minimal disruption and maximum visibility
• Be responsible for day-to-day operations, troubleshooting delivery issues, tracking key logistics metrics, and continuously improving how goods move through our network
