Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a warehouse or distribution setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, including training, performance management, and conflict resolution
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately count and record inventory
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, and best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities
  • Proficiency in computerized inventory management systems and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and OSHA standards
  • Language skills - English C1

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and verification of incoming shipments against purchase orders and inventory records
  • Develop and implement efficient processes for stocking and organizing inventory in designated areas of the warehouse
  • Establish and maintain procedures for conducting regular inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies in inventory or shipping, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Coordinate the preparation and processing of shipments for delivery, including packing, labeling, and documentation
  • Manage the processing of returns, damaged goods, and defective products, ensuring timely and accurate handling
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and customer service, to ensure smooth warehouse operations and timely delivery of goods
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity
  • Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and shipping times, and implement strategies to achieve targets
  • Manage special projects and tasks as assigned by management

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
  • Certification in forklift operation is a plus
