Summary

Join LaBella as a Make Ready Design Project Manager in our Program Management Services Division! You will provide engineering support for distribution engineering, leveraging your expertise in NESC standards and utility electric distribution. Requirements

  • Have 10 or more years of experience in large-scale project program management for the utility business
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Possess Program Management Professional Certification (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Make Ready

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership in a matrix organization
  • Initiate, plan, execute, and close projects—defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline, and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing risks, scope, schedule, and budget
  • Manage teams—facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles
  • Implement and manage quality and environmental processes and procedures on all projects, focusing on meeting SPI and CPI performance indicators less than 1.0
  • Manage third-party projects, including other transmission owners and interconnecting customers
  • Be accountable and responsible for cost/budgeting and management
  • Manage communication
  • Manage change
  • Manage schedule
  • Oversee construction management
  • Oversee commissioning management
  • Manage risk
  • Manage regulatory and stakeholder relations
  • Ensure the execution and successful completion of the project
  • Serve as the main point of contact between contractors and the client on all project matters
  • Monitor and measure project performance throughout the project and resolve any contract disputes relative to costs, scope, and schedule
