Summary

Join Datadog's Technical Solutions team as a Technical Enablement Manager (TEM)! In this role, you will manage and mentor a team of TEMs, overseeing their onboarding and development. You will collaborate with various teams (Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Product) to improve processes and maximize Datadog's value for clients. Responsibilities include providing technical training to large customers, understanding their IT environments, and identifying new product features. The ideal candidate possesses strong people management skills, technical expertise, and experience in a professional training setting. This is a remote position with excellent benefits.

Requirements

  • Have a history of learning new skills
  • Be passionate about people management and/or mentorship with previous experience leading a team
  • Be a self-starter, tech-savvy professional who can easily understand a company’s business requirements and explain Datadog’s value and technical details to C-level executives, a technical guru and everyone in between
  • Have experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Have experience planning for and providing training in a professional setting
  • Be able to sit up to 4 hours, traveling to and from client sites
  • Be able to travel via auto, train or air up to 30% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and mentor a fast-paced team of TEMs with a Player / Coach approach
  • Assist recruiting efforts to find and hire top talent within your region. Coach new hires during onboarding to ensure proper ramping of skills and capabilities
  • Oversee successful onboarding, development and education of new and existing TEMs
  • Work closely with the greater Technical Solutions leadership and other groups throughout the organization (Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Product) to tackle urgent matters and to implement process improvements
  • Work with sales and customer success teams to understand a customer’s IT Operations environment to provide recommendations that will maximize Datadog’s value
  • Collaborate with Datadog’s product management, engineering and technical services teams to help identify new features and products
  • Continuously iterate on best practices for technical product adoption and customer success

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have previous experience working as a technical trainer supporting mid-market and/or Enterprise customers in the cloud space
  • Have experience using Datadog and/or other cloud monitoring tools
  • Have hands on experience with the following types of technologies: Scripting languages like Python, Javascript, Ruby, etc
  • Have hands on experience with the following types of technologies: Configuration management tools like Chef or Puppet
  • Have hands on experience with the following types of technologies: CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, Gitlab etc
  • Have hands on experience with the following types of technologies: Containerization tools e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, etc
