Summary

The Manager, Individual Giving will play a key role in ensuring Active Minds has a robust individual giving program, with responsibilities including meeting revenue goals, managing three giving communities, and providing unique cultivation and stewardship opportunities for individual donors. The position requires 4+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, particularly in annual fund and/or mid-level giving programs.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in nonprofit fundraising, particularly in annual fund and/or mid-level giving programs, or transferable experience
  • Experience in 1-to-1 portfolio management of donors
  • Experience in donor CRM’s, preferably Salesforce and Classy
  • Fully digital literate, including Microsoft & Google products, and online meeting tools

Responsibilities

  • Meeting yearly revenue goals from individual donors who contribute less than $10,000 annually ($375,000 in FY24-25)
  • Maintaining a focused 1-to-1 portfolio of individual donors contributing up to $9,999 annually
  • Creating individualized outreach strategies for each donor in the 1-to-1 portfolio
  • Implementing personalized solicitation strategies for each individual
  • Maintaining detailed records in the donor database of ongoing strategies for donors
  • Initiating the production of any materials needed for individual giving meetings
  • Strategizing and implementing a regular cadence of in-person cultivation events nationwide
  • Overseeing and managing the Advocates Circle and our monthly giving program
  • Creating and implementing a formal planned giving program
  • Collaborating with the Director of Individual Giving to identify upgradeable donors currently giving less than $10,000
  • Collaborating with other Development Team members to ensure a high-quality donor experience
  • Participating in the annual budgeting process
  • Managing interns and volunteers as needed
