Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience within life science/healthcare consulting
  • BSc or higher degree in the life sciences; a PhD is desirable but is not required
  • Experience working with a range of pharmaceutical and biotech organizations to deliver commercial strategy across a range of therapeutic areas
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of our operating environment, industry and market factors that affect role and firm, using this to inform our activities
  • Preferably have specific experience with early-stage companies
  • Background in Management Consultancy early in the lifecycle, with consulting experience in defining clinical development plans, clinical trial planning, and early new product planning
  • You bring regulatory experience and have a track record of guiding companies through the regulatory landscape
  • Able to pick up and develop client relationships and opportunities from first interaction (whether reactive or proactive), and pull them through into opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Lead major proposals and pitches, identifying and motivating optimal teams across all capabilities (>Β£200k)
  • Develop strategy and use resources in a manner that creates competitive differentiation
  • Lead the delivery of high-quality projects for clients
  • Coach senior and junior members of the team to improve performance across all areas
  • Understand client KPIs and objectives and build great client relationships
  • Ensure work is designed to exceed client expectations
  • Identify the need for project course corrections, and orchestrate them internally and externally
  • Navigate difficult conversations with clients and give challenging but constructive feedback
  • Act as an ambassador for the vision, values and strategy of the business internally and externally, and ensure optimal cross-capability working
  • Effectively lead a team and build morale even under difficult circumstances
  • Always maintain excellent quality and timeliness of work
  • Organize tasks/workstreams to create high-performing teams, demonstrating excellent delegation and team management
  • Always give team members a genuine sense of their contribution to projects and ensure client feedback is communicated
  • Provide regular and consistent feedback to get the best out of the team
