Summary
Join Precision Medicine Group as a Legal Contract Specialist, providing legal support and guidance on client and vendor contract negotiations. You will serve as the primary contact for contractual matters, acting as an intermediary between employees, vendors, and clients. Essential duties include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal agreements. You will provide legal counsel to internal business units, research risk factors, and communicate effectively with internal and external parties. Maintaining contract management systems and staying updated on legal changes are also key responsibilities. This role requires a Juris Doctor degree, attorney licensure, and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree or equivalent from accredited law school
- Licensed attorney as appropriate for local jurisdiction
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with contract drafting, review and negotiation
- Ability to establish strong working relations with internal and external clients
- Exemplary organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently, with limited supervision
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay focused, effective and efficient in managing multiple priorities
- Demonstrated willingness to listen and learn and proven ability to make and respectfully explain proper decisions (even when this leads to tough business discussions)
- Proficiency in MS Office and other business applications
- Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate all kinds of legal agreements including master services agreements, consulting services agreements, statements of work, confidentiality agreements, amendments, among others
- Provide accurate and timely counsel to the different internal business units and executives
- Research and evaluate risk factors associated with business decisions and operations, and advise on possible legal issues
- Communicate with external and internal parties creating relationships of trust
- Keep business stakeholders properly and timely informed of the progress and status of the contracts
- Keep track of the contracting processes in the contract management and repository systems, and facilitate the signature process and uploading contracts
- Maintain current knowledge of changes in business law, contracts legislation and other regulations
- Conduct your work with the highest degree of integrity, responsibility, and excellence in client service
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Contracting experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
- Utilization of contract management system and maintenance of contracts metrics
