Requirements
- Possess a fast-paced, exceptional intelligence, highly quantitative mindset
- Be comfortable with risk
- Have significant political campaign or advocacy experience (2+ years)
- Have leadership experience in a growing tech or consulting firm, ideally touching political, social or civic work
- Have experience managing managers (4+ years preferred)
- Have experience with financial and HR management
Responsibilities
- Act as chief problem-solver to the CEO and VP team
- Work with the CEO to vet possible growth areas, and drive some forward
- Support team-wide & leadership meeting and strategic planning
- Reinforce our values as a coherent organizational culture
- With support staff be a strategic leader guiding bookkeeping, cost and revenue projections, department budgeting, and margin management of our core business
- Support the fundraising team in increasing velocity and systematization of fundraising
- Increase team effectiveness by working closely as a people-focused partner to leadership team
- Lead recruitment, identifying new roles and help facilitate horizontal movement
- Oversee a people team managing hiring, training, culture, benefits, and HR functions
- Oversee staff conflict, mediation, performance improvement processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience working in strategy consulting, marketing or SMS
- Have experience with management training or coaching
- Have experience with political or 501(c)(4) fundraising
- Live in the Bay Area (modestly preferred)
