You will be responsible for the financial performance of the Mexican market and will report monthly on business activities. Market research, identifying sales opportunities, and improving market positioning are key responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MICE sales, excellent relationship management skills, and fluency in Spanish and English. Requirements

  • Degree in tourism / business administration / marketing / event management
  • Minimum 5 years of sales and business development experience in MICE and understanding of client expectations of the market
  • Spanish mother tongue, with strong knowledge of the local culture and business environment
  • Business fluency in English
  • Based in Mexico City or surrounding areas, with availability to travel within Mexico
  • Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, collaboration, problem-solving, strategy development and implementation
  • Strong IT literacy, ability to prepare client reports and maintain structured follow-up, presentation skills
  • Familiarity with local procurement procedures, payment terms, and the pitch process
  • A professional attitude with patience, adaptability and the ability to manage multiple client expectations
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of a defined Source Market (Mexico), accelerate sales, nurture existing relationships, manage key accounts, acquire new clients and reactivate dormant potential clients for both agencies and corporate clients for the Meetings & Events European network of Kuoni Tumlare
  • Be accountable and budget responsible for the financial performance of the assigned source market and the set tasks and financial targets outlined in the goals
  • Submit a monthly business activity report to sales support and superior by end of each month as per provided deadline dates
  • Conduct continuous research of the market, looking for new opportunities and approaching clients
  • Identify marketing and sales activities, increasing our market share with sustainable business opportunities, improving our market positioning and brand awareness
  • Ensure that information and intelligence regarding the source market, clients and their potential gets communicated across the network
  • Manage the subordinates in a professional business oriented and compliant manner

Preferred Qualifications

Ideally the candidate has a network of existing contacts in key cities such as Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara
