Marketing Communications Coordinator

Summary

Join Rural Innovation Strategies, Inc. (RISI) as their Marketing Communications Coordinator! This part-time, 12-week contract position (up to 20 hours/week) offers a remote work opportunity. As part of the in-house team, you will execute marketing strategies to increase awareness of RISI and its collaborating organization. Responsibilities include website optimization, event promotion, content creation, design support, and marketing systems management. The ideal candidate possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, project management abilities, and proficiency in various marketing tools. Compensation is $22-27/hour.

Requirements

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the following tools: WordPress, Adobe Suite, Constant Contact, Canva, Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in writing marketing and communications materials (blogs, marketing materials, etc.)
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment

Responsibilities

• Update the RISI and CORI website content, including posting blogs, editing pages, and improving SEO
• Support promotional and planning activities for two national events, including outreach and materials development
• Collaborate with the MarComms and Project teams to write blog posts and impact stories that drive lead gen and increase engagement
• Create one-pagers, slides, and digital assets to support marketing and communications initiatives
• Organize and maintain internal marketing and communications systems (Google Drive, Monday.com, Constant Contact CRM)
