Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in Marketing Operations, Marketing Analytics, or Marketing Automation roles
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SQL for data segmentation and integrations
  • Experience managing and configuring tag management systems like Google Tag Manager (GTM) and/or Firebase for web and mobile tracking
  • Proficiency in web analytics like GA4 for campaign tracking, reporting, and dashboard creation
  • Experience administering Customer.io or similar marketing automation platforms
  • Familiarity with cookie consent management tools (e.g., OneTrust) and understanding of data privacy best practices
  • Experience working with data segmentation and audience creation tools for targeted marketing campaigns
  • A proactive, curious approach to troubleshooting technical issues and identifying optimization opportunities
  • Ability to adapt to evolving marketing technologies and campaign requirements
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating across engineering, product, analytics, and marketing teams
  • Ability to translate technical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Customer.io, managing tasks like lifecycle workflows, transactional sends, and data optimization
  • Oversee Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Firebase configurations for accurate tracking, tagging, and lifecycle event monitoring across web and mobile platforms
  • Ensure compliance with cookie consent management tools (e.g., OneTrust) and maintain alignment with data privacy regulations
  • Support Lifecycle Marketing teams in building and optimizing automated workflows and triggered campaigns across email, web, mobile apps, and ad networks
  • Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to ensure seamless data flow and consistency between systems
  • Support data segmentation and targeting, creating audiences based on user attributes, behavior, and preferences using SQL and related tools
  • Build and maintain custom dashboards in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Looker to monitor campaign performance, user behavior, and lifecycle events
  • Analyze campaign and user data to uncover insights and recommend optimizations for better performance and ROI
  • Enable accurate tracking and attribution across paid and organic channels using tools like GTM and Firebase
  • Proactively identify and resolve data discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting and analysis
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to align technical implementations with marketing objectives
  • Act as the technical point of contact for troubleshooting and optimizing marketing operations integrations
  • Stay informed about emerging trends in marketing automation, data analytics, and technical SEO, identifying opportunities to improve workflows and campaign effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Python, Javascript, or Liquid
  • A Passion for staying abreast of industry developments and best practices
  • A basic understanding of how browser cookies work and experience with OneTrust or similar cookie management tools
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive insights from complex datasets
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)
  • Exposure to CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and their integration with marketing platforms
  • Experience with machine learning or AI techniques for predictive modeling and personalization
