Summary

Join our client, a fast-growing platform supporting small businesses, as a contract copywriter for 3-6 months (with potential extension). Working remotely in the US, you will dedicate 15-20 hours per week to crafting compelling ad copy for mobile-first ads across various platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, etc.). You will be responsible for developing and testing multiple messaging variations, collaborating with the Art Director and stakeholders, and adapting existing content for new formats. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience writing ad copy for performance channels, a proven track record of success in paid social media, and experience in both brand and performance-driven content creation. This role requires agility, collaboration, and an insight-driven approach to copywriting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years writing ad copy for performance channels, ideally within growth marketing or DTC/B2B tech
  • Proven success with copy that converts in paid social environments (Meta, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Experience creating content for both brand and performance goals simultaneously
  • Experience with rapid optimization and test-and-learn creative environments

Responsibilities

  • Craft compelling copy for mobile-first ads (video, static, and carousel formats) that drive clear calls to action
  • Develop and iterate on headline, body, and CTA copy that balances clarity, urgency, and brand tone
  • Tailor messaging for Meta, LinkedIn, and other B2B paid media placements
  • Write multiple messaging variations per concept to test themes, structures, and emotional levers
  • Partner with Growth and Brand teams to define and refine copy testing frameworks
  • Work closely with the Art Director and Homebase stakeholders to build aligned concepts
  • Help refine briefs and clarify performance hypotheses to strengthen creative outputs
  • Adapt existing copy and messaging frameworks for new formats
  • Support ongoing optimization based on data learnings and evolving brand goals
