Summary
Join Salvo as a Virtual Medical Assistant and provide administrative support to our care team. Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and follow-ups; handle medical records and documentation in EHR systems; triage and respond to patient messages; and ensure HIPAA compliance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills. Experience with EHR systems and medical documentation is required. Requirements
- Proven experience as a medical assistant, virtual medical assistant, or administrative support role in a healthcare setting
- Strong familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, eCW, gGastro)
- Experience in message triaging, charting, or medical documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and follow-ups
- Handle medical records, data entry, and documentation in EHR systems
- Monitor, triage, and respond to incoming member messages
- Ensure all patient records are accurately entered into the EHR system and update them as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide general administrative support to care team and patients
- Manage patient tasks to ensure timely documentation and communication for all patients
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with telemedicine platforms is a plus
