Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a virtual healthcare format
- Strong understanding of endocrinology procedures and terminology
- Proficient in managing electronic medical records and patient databases

- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
- Experience with appointment scheduling and patient management software
- Well-versed in Endocrinology practice is a MUST
- Must have experience in NEXTGEN EHR
- Amenable to work in a graveyard shift
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams
- Organizational skills to manage multiple administrative tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Attention to detail to ensure all documentation, referrals, and communication are precise and error-free
- Proficiency with document management systems, EMRs, and telehealth platforms to streamline workflows in a virtual environment
- Windows Devices : Intel Core i5 (or higher) or AMD Ryzen 5 (or higher)
- Mac Devices : Apple M1 chip or newer
- Minimum of 8GB or higher for optimal performance
- Windows : Windows 11 Pro (Windows 10 Pro is acceptable but not preferred). The operating system must have a legitimate license
- Mac : macOS compatible with M1 or newer chips
- At least an SSD for faster processing and performance
- Minimum speed of 50 Mbps via a wired connection for stability and reliability
- A backup internet connection is highly recommended
- A backup power supply (e.g., UPS or generator) to prevent disruptions during power outages (optional but encouraged)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a remote healthcare environment
- Strong organizational skills for appointment scheduling
- Proficient in maintaining and organizing medical records and insurance documentation
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and standard procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and adept organizational capabilities

Responsibilities
- Review and interpret medical charts to provide support for patient care documentation and referral coordination in thyroid cancer and other endocrine conditions
- Upload and manage referrals in the system, ensuring completeness and accuracy using document management tools, while collaborating with the referral coordinator to track and optimize the workflow
- Reach out to patients via phone, email, or virtual platforms to provide updates, clarify information, and address concerns in a compassionate and professional manner
- Handle telehealth appointments, ensuring patients are prepared for virtual consultations
- Educate patients on referral processes, follow-up care, and general healthcare information related to their conditions
- Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMRs) with accurate patient information, ensuring data is organized and secure
- Organize and manage digital records, schedules, and communication flows, providing virtual administrative support for document preparation, filing, and task tracking
- Assist with tracking referral outcomes, compiling reports, and managing data for operational efficiency in the endocrinology practice
- Ensure healthcare providers have the necessary virtual documentation for appointments
Preferred Qualifications
- Immediate availability or availability within 2 weeks is preferred
- Prior experience with scheduling software preferred
- Ability to start immediately or within 2 weeks
- Experience in Personal Injury and Radiology is a plus
