Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred
  • Proven experience in merchandising roles within the retail industry, with at least 1-2 years in a senior or leadership position
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to make informed merchandising decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on driving results and achieving business objectives
  • Proficiency in merchandising software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic merchandising plans to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Oversee the selection, purchase, and display of products to maximize sales and profitability
  • Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create appealing product displays and store layouts that drive customer engagement and sales
  • Develop promotional strategies and pricing policies to stimulate sales and maximize profitability
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and operations to execute merchandising initiatives effectively
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, margin, and inventory turnover

Preferred Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for vendor meetings, trade shows, and store visits
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons or special events
