Summary

Join Kard, a rapidly growing rewards-as-a-service API platform company, and help expand our network of media and brand advertisers. As a key member of the merchant sales team, you will be responsible for generating new customer opportunities and closing sales for our advertising network. This role involves working the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing deals, and exceeding sales revenue targets. You will need to develop a deep understanding of the Kard platform and its unique market positioning. Success will be measured by deals closed and revenue generated. The position offers a competitive compensation package and a remote-first work environment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of net-new business sales experience selling omni-channel marketing programs, media, or data/analytics (retail, QSR, Fuel, CPG, and Agency experience all a plus)
  • Experience selling into a named account list
  • Proven sales hunter with outstanding quota attainment history against $1M+ yearly quota
  • Highly collaborative internal working style with peers and cross-functionally
  • Advanced skills for both the art and science of self-prospecting new opportunities
  • Experience selling into the executive suite and to multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Process oriented sales person with specific approaches to territory management, prospecting, pipeline management, deal management, and forecasting required
  • Elite negotiation skills
  • Series A startup experience an absolute must
  • Ability to work 8 hours during core U.S. business hours between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m
  • Ability to be on camera, distraction-free, and actively participating during meetings

Responsibilities

  • Work the entire sales process from qualifying and prospecting to negotiating and closing net new business opportunities within your assigned vertical and territory
  • Work to develop a robust pipeline of opportunities, leveraging all available sourcing strategies and tools, including your own outbound prospecting, to exceed sales revenue targets
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the Kard platform and our unique positioning in the market; delivering a differentiated value proposition to prospective clients with the ability to dive deep into prospective client’s marketing and business goals
  • Own client meetings virtually and in person, across every step of the sales process including demonstrations, with upper mid-market, enterprise, and strategic brands ensuring stakeholder buy-in and alignment to join the ranks of elite Merchants that trust Kard
  • Partner with a broad range of internal teams including sales leadership, finance, account management, marketing, and product in order to support the sales cycle and to provide feedback on systems and processes internally
  • Take complete ownership of pipeline management, CRM updates, forecasting and reporting according to organization processes and governance
  • Travel to attend annual, semi-annual, and quarterly company meetings, client meetings and as needed by your job responsibilities
  • Additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Force Management, Challenger Sales, Winning by Design, or another proven sales process preferred
  • Card-linked Offers and/or rewards space experience a plus
  • Embraces ambiguity, energized by regular operational evolutions to the business, and thrives with more and more earned latitude
