Modeling and Simulation Intern

Join our team at REGENT and contribute to the development of the seaglider, a revolutionary electric flying machine. As a motivated Modeling and simulation Intern, you will assist in designing, building, and maintaining simulation environments for the seaglider. This internship offers hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink and collaboration with engineers across disciplines.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and an interest in learning more about modeling and simulation
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work independently and within a team
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with engineers from different disciplines and a desire to learn about physical system dynamics

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, build, and maintenance of simulation environments that support multiple engineers and subsystem integrations
• Implement and modify simulation models using MATLAB/Simulink under the guidance of senior engineers
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to help integrate physical system and vehicle dynamics data into the simulation environment
• Support software in the loop, processor in the loop, and hardware in the loop testing for model validation
• Assist in analyzing sea trial test data and refining simulation models to improve accuracy and reliability
