Summary
Join IREX's Learn to Discern India II project as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist! This part-time, remote position requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of data analysis experience. You will develop data collection instruments, analyze data using statistical tools, maintain databases, track progress, and support reporting. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, knowledge of research methodologies, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and data visualization tools. This role contributes to empowering media-savvy youth in India.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in statistics, data science, social sciences, mathematics, or another relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis
- Professional experience using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in various quantitative data sets
- Professional experience cleaning and coding extensive quantitative data sets
- Knowledge of research methodologies (e.g., quantitative, qualitative, mixed method) and data collection and analysis methodologies are required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated high attention to detail
- Strong written command of English language
- Ability to read and comprehend written English
Responsibilities
- Develop Data Collection Instruments: Ensure data integrity and validity at both output and outcome levels
- Analyze Data: Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in quantitative data sets
- Maintain Databases: Create and manage structured databases for effective data organization
- Track Progress: Systematically collect and analyze data to monitor progress toward key performance indicators
- Support Reporting: Assist program staff in preparing analysis reports, summaries, and visualizations for stakeholders
- Impact Assessment: Analyze M&E data to measure the impact of program activities and progress toward goals
- Provide additional M&E support as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Desired experience: supporting the execution of MEL activities on international development projects
- Desired experience in creating online survey forms in MS Forms, Alchemer or similar
- Knowledge of analytical software and data visualization tools. Knowledge of SPSS will be a plus
