Summary

Join Chomps, the fastest-growing food brand in the U.S., as their National Account Manager for Walmart! This role is responsible for achieving financial objectives, managing account plans, and driving customer development and execution for Walmart. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to optimize merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving. The ideal candidate possesses 4+ years of experience in the CPG industry, specifically with Walmart, and strong analytical and communication skills. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods industry
  • Previous experience working with or at key retailer: Walmart
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking and relationship building skills!
  • Very strong team player, ability to work with cross-functional teams to get results
  • Experience in sales planning, trade management and forecasting
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced, high demand environment
  • Self-sufficient and highly detailed oriented
  • Passion for natural and organic products
  • Ability to travel for trade shows, sales calls, and meetings – approximately 25% of time through the year
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must be an analytical thinker and data-driven; strong data analysis skills and experience working with IRI/Nielsen and/or Retail POS data
  • Have worked with trade management and demand planning software
  • Strong PC skills including online applications, MS Office

Responsibilities

  • Achieve Fiscal Year Financials
  • Deliver key financial metrics versus Plan, within aligned trade spend plan
  • Account Plan management: contribute to both current year and long-range plan forecasts
  • Achieve business objectives for: Merchandising
  • Achieve business objectives for: Assortment
  • Achieve business objectives for: Pricing
  • Achieve business objectives for: Shelving
  • Own the forecast, in partnership with the Business Analytics Team & guided by Director of Sales
  • Advise commercialization team on new items/fixtures/shippers that will deliver on Walmart goals
  • Partner with the Director of Sales to build long range plan; bring thought leadership on growth opportunities
  • Partner cross functionally to effectively engage and leverage resources to achieve business objectives
  • Broker teams for Walmart
  • Shopper Marketing & Retail Activation teams to build support programs for Walmart
  • ECommerce team on best-in-class content/PDPs for Walmart.Com
  • Finance team on the Month End Close initiatives
  • Business Analytics Team on volume and trade forecasting
  • Sales Ops team on PO execution; troubleshooting when necessary
  • Monthly meetings with key buyers
  • Support, and eventually lead, quarterly strategy meetings (line reviews, etc.)
  • Deepen retailer relationships, building partnership & trust
  • Monthly Mass/Aldi Newsletter: co-own a one-pager to share sale performance/growth initiatives internally at Chomps, with the goal of both looping in our leadership team and sparking cross functional growth initiatives

Location: greater Bentonville preferred, but strong candidates should apply regardless of location
