Summary

Join Once Upon a Farm as a National Account Manager and drive sales growth for our products at Target. You will oversee all sales initiatives, working strategically and tactically to implement and manage programs maximizing sales growth. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, business development, and customer service. Key responsibilities include account and broker management, forecasting, data analysis, new product launches, and ensuring optimal product placement. This role requires a minimum of 5-7 years of retail sales experience with Target, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. Requirements

  • Minimum 5–7 years of retail sales experience, with at least three years spent directly selling and/or providing sales support to Target
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • Stellar planning and organizational skills along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong proficiency working across all Target POL Applications (Ad Hoc reporting in VIQ, Item set-up via PCN/Launchpad/IMN, Post-Audits, etc.). Applicants should be able to manage/update digital content for existing and new items that appear on Target.com
  • Proven success with respected consumer packaged goods companies with direct Target retail experience
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms
  • Up to 10–20% travel required. Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter

Responsibilities

  • Drive Gross Sales: Achieve Target volume targets by flawlessly executing against strategic priorities
  • Drive Gross Sales: Lead broker & merchandising team members to overdrive sales execution and results
  • Drive Gross Sales: Build an accurate forecast and ensure its implementation
  • Grow Market Share, Having Expert Knowledge of Category and Competition: Proactively communicate and develop plans for sales/share/category/competition
  • Grow Market Share, Having Expert Knowledge of Category and Competition: Identify business opportunities and help close white space opportunities
  • Increase TDP Growth and Achieve Optimal Product Placement: Define and secure new business and TDP growth
  • Increase TDP Growth and Achieve Optimal Product Placement: Plan and manage all merchandising activities at Target
  • Build Business Relationships and Communication: Develop, foster, and maintain strong internal, broker, and customer relationships while ensuring proper communication of vital information
  • Build Business Relationships and Communication: Regularly update and communicate progress to management
  • Build Business Relationships and Communication: Develop and monitor business scorecards; define clear account penetration, sales, share, and highlight opportunities
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Pull, analyze, and report weekly data and insights regarding Once Upon a Farm’s sales performance across each product category
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Closely monitor inventory and in-stock levels across all Once Upon a Farm products sold at Target; provide forecast updates and recommendations to Inventory Analysts
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Analyze category trends to identify key focus areas for growth

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferably located in Minneapolis, MN
  • Ideally, experience in both large and small companies thereby possessing the vision for the elements of a highly successful larger enterprise balanced with a more hands-on approach
  • Knowledge base for successful retail execution
  • Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Sales preferred
  • Desire to contribute to a dynamic high-growth, purpose-driven work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, deeply understand business needs, develop a cohesive strategy, and make decisions requiring a high level of judgment

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000.00 to $130,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, stipends, equity, and role-specific perks
