Remote Network Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Network Engineer at ConnectOS, with a monthly salary range of P115,000 to P130,000 and a schedule from Monday to Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM AEST). The role involves collaborating on network planning, design, implementation, and enhancement. Required skills include at least 5+ years in a network engineering role, current certifications in Fortinet Firewall/SD-WAN (FCSS), FCP (Switching and Wireless) or equivalent certification, and industry experience working within the ITIL framework. Additional skills such as strong knowledge across various networking technologies are beneficial.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years in a network engineering role
• Previous role with an IT&T System Integrator, Professional Consulting Services, Internet Services Provider or similar organisation
• Current certifications in Fortinet Firewall/SD-WAN (FCSS), FCP (Switching and Wireless) or equivalent certification
• Industry experience working within the ITIL framework (ITIL certifications highly regarded)

Responsibilities

• Collaborating on the planning, design, and implementation of both wired and wireless network solutions
• Assessing and enhancing our existing network infrastructure
• Working together with the Project Management Office and/or Lead Engineer to ensure solutions are delivered as per design, statement of work, and scheduled milestones
• Developing project schedules and managing variations
• Configuring, testing, and executing the network cutover to ensure the solution is scalable, secure, redundant, and reliable
• Supporting Network Provisioning and Field Services Engineers with WAN Services configuration, testing, and cutover assistance whenever needed!

Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge and industry experience across a range of networking technologies including vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco/Meraki, HP-Aruba, and Palo Alto
