Remote Network Engineer

Summary

Join First Focus, Australia's best Managed Service Provider, as a highly motivated Network Engineer to provide advanced network technical services to our customer base across Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of our systems engineering team, you will design, implement, maintain, and support our clients' and First Focus' growing network infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years' Network Administration experience
• Currently working for or have experience working for a Managed Service provider
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
• Experience with network technologies (i.e. Fortinet, Fortigate, Cisco Meraki, Unifi, Aruba, Palo Alto)
• Exposure to Routing, switching, Wireless networking, Firewalling and advanced network security, SD-WAN etc
• Experience with Cisco solutions, Fortinet a bonus
• Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching certification (CCNP certification highly valued)
• Fortinet Certifications would be highly valued
• If you have VMWare, MS Server, Storage and Backup experience it would be considered super awesome
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Experience working with an IT outsourcer or Managed Service Provider

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and support our clients and First Focus’ growing network infrastructure
• Operational Network Management and monitoring for client networks
• Routing, Switching and firewall deployment of networking technologies
• Provide project support as required to deliver projects across multiple clients
• Resolve network and service issues
• Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, SD-WAN)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
