Remote Network Engineer Senior

Summary

Join our team as a Senior Network Engineer - Night Shift at Base8, where you will develop and maintain functional and secure networks, mentor a team of engineers, and troubleshoot and optimize networks for users. We are looking for someone with excellent problem-solving skills, thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture, and passion for security and data protection.

Requirements

• 10+ experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Lead
• Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP)
• Solid background in network administration and architecture
• Hands-on experience in Network Data Center planning/design/implementation, site-to-site tunnel setup and troubleshooting, VPN issues
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and RIP
• Basic knowledge of 0365, AD, Server, and Database Infrastructure environment
• Should have extensive knowledge and Implementation of Firewalls design
• Understand Client network Infrastructure (FW, Router, Proxy devices, etc) and analyze and advise the risk on existing setup
• Familiarity with access control models and network security
• Should have Knowledge of working on the ITIL process
• Worked on various tools like Nagios and ticketing tools like Remedy and ITSM
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
• Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
• Basic knowledge of AD, Server, and Database Infrastructure environment
• Sharp troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently
• Organizational and mentoring skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and integrity
• Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
• Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
• Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
• Communicate with users when needed
• Maintain complete technical documentation
• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
