Summary

The Operating Partner will work closely with executive leadership teams across multiple portfolio companies to drive strategic plans, optimize operations, expand market reach, enhance brand positioning, serve on boards, support talent development, monitor financial performance, manage risks, facilitate stakeholder communication, and stay informed about industry trends. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, 5+ years of senior leadership experience in operational roles, preferably within private equity-backed companies or management consulting firms, and 5+ years of experience as a CEO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience in operational roles, preferably within private equity-backed companies or management consulting firms
  • 5+ years of experience as a CEO
  • Proven track record of driving operational improvements, accelerating revenue growth, and enhancing shareholder value in dynamic and fast-paced environments
  • Strong business acumen and strategic mindset, with the ability to analyze complex business challenges, develop actionable solutions, and execute strategic initiatives
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Board experience or board readiness, with a solid understanding of corporate governance principles and fiduciary responsibilities
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated, with a passion for driving change, delivering results, and creating value for investors and portfolio companies
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work collaboratively with diverse teams across multiple locations

Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leadership teams and boards of directors across portfolio companies to develop and execute strategic plans
  • Conduct operational assessments, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices and initiatives to optimize business processes
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement sales strategies, expand market reach, and drive revenue growth
  • Work with marketing and branding teams to enhance brand positioning, strengthen brand awareness, and differentiate portfolio companies in their respective markets
  • Serve as a board member or advisor for multiple portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance, governance oversight, and accountability to drive performance and value creation
  • Support talent acquisition, development, and retention efforts across portfolio companies, providing leadership coaching, mentoring, and succession planning
  • Monitor financial performance metrics, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborate with finance teams to identify opportunities for cost optimization, margin improvement, and revenue enhancement
  • Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and market risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between private equity firm leadership, portfolio company management teams, investors, and other stakeholders to align interests and drive consensus on strategic initiatives
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging best practices, leveraging insights and lessons learned to continuously improve processes, policies, and performance across the portfolio
