Summary

Join Samsara as a Sr. Program Manager, Partner Operations & Experience and build and manage Samsara’s Partner Portal roadmap, leading operational projects focused on optimizing partner experience. This entrepreneurial role requires strong cross-functional skills to identify key areas of opportunity, prioritize requirements, and operationalize programs. You will act as a subject matter expert in Partner tools & processes, continuously research and keep up-to-speed with partner industry best practices, and identify & prioritize internal infrastructure improvement projects. The role involves leading partner requirements within company-wide strategic priority projects, defining operational goals, and independently leading projects to develop and enhance Partner operations. You will also define and streamline processes for Samsara partners globally, gather system requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of combined sales operations, program management, or consulting experience
  • Previous hands-on experience building and working on Partner Portal and other channel tools
  • Experience gathering requirements, ideating, developing, testing, and proving value of programs
  • Experience being a thought leader with senior stakeholders, advising on best practices and actioning long-term strategic operational plans
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical teams to design and build or improve business processes
  • Consistent track record of deploying internal and external facing programs and working with sales teams
  • Stellar analytical, written, and verbal communications skills

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert in Partner tools & processes, specifically owning Samsara’s Partner Portal and driving the portal’s long-term roadmap
  • Continuously research and keep up-to-speed with partner industry best practices and tools to advise on and inform the partner roadmap
  • Identify & prioritize internal infrastructure improvement projects for ease of doing business with Samsara partners globally
  • Drive quarterly and annual planning cycles related to Partner tools, process and system requirements to unlock increased value and productivity
  • Lead partner requirements within company-wide strategic priority projects
  • Together with Partner, Growth, and GTM Systems leadership, define short, medium & long-term operational goals
  • Independently lead projects to develop and enhance Partner operations
  • Define and streamline processes for Samsara partners globally
  • Gather system requirements, prioritize across teams, and work to build, test, and launch capabilities
  • Drive partner account management productivity enhancements through tool and process implementation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales Operations and Customer Success, to integrate Partnerships into other relevant Samsara sales tools and processes
  • Bring tools and insights from greater Sales, Sales Operations, and Customer Success teams to the Partnerships to create comprehensive and collaborative experiences that best serve our partners and customers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure end-to-end change management is executed, ensuring Partner Account Managers, AEs, and Partners alike are set up for success
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of how channel and alliances partnerships work
  • Experience working with SFDC Communities / SFDC PRM
  • Ability to translate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfort with accountability to multiple internal and external stakeholders, with ability to effectively prioritize between them
  • Sensitivity to sales cycle and ability to handle challenging customer situations
