Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in project management, including creating strategic operational plans and leading process improvement initiatives
- Proven track record of successfully implementing operational strategies and improvements
- Skilled in managing projects that require ongoing collaboration and iterative improvements, with a focus on flexibility and continuous enhancement throughout project life cycles
- Ability to adapt to diverse business scenarios, providing insights that align with strategic goals to ensure organizational success and navigate change smoothly
- Proficient in business analytics, using data-driven insights to inform operational improvements and make strategic decisions
- Experienced in business process management, with a talent for mapping and refining processes to drive efficiency and improvement
- Demonstrated expertise in overseeing change management initiatives, ensuring successful transitions through clear communication, planning, and support
- Proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to summarize and present complex information concisely and accurately
- Solid understanding in financial management principles, enabling effective budget oversight and cost control within operational tasks
- Well-versed in project management principles, and tech tools like ERP/CRM, driving operational efficiency across projects and processes
- Based in the Barcelona area
Responsibilities
- Observe, analyze, and review existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with teams to develop and implement streamlined procedures, ensuring that strategies and processes align with company goals and objectives
- Act as a liaison between departments, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration, especially in implementing operational improvements
- Utilize data analytics tools to monitor operational performance, generate insights, and support informed decision-making; and use such data to generate regular reports on operational performance and provide insights for continuous improvement
- Optimize the allocation and utilization of resources (both human and financial) to achieve operational excellence and cost efficiency
- Work closely with the Finance department to assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to operational activities
- Coordinate with external stakeholders (e.g., suppliers) to negotiate pricing, maintain relationships, and ensure optimal service delivery
- Assist in developing and refining company policies, procedures, and goals that align with the company’s mission and vision
- Support the Director of Operations in developing and executing innovative operations strategies that drive company growth, efficiency, and performance
- Participate in shaping the Operations department’s strategic direction, helping to set long-term objectives and supporting its future growth
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the company
Preferred Qualifications
- Insight into edtech-specific operations, challenges, and trends, contributing valuable perspectives on industry needs and best practices
- MBA or similar postgraduate education
- Previous experience working in a top-tier consulting firm
- Relevant professional certifications in project management, operations management, or process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or PMP are a plus
