Summary
Join Upwork's Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team as a Communications and Operations Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment within the Marketplace team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy, facilitating knowledge sharing, and aligning operational processes with business goals. This role involves collaborating with leadership to create strategic roadmaps, establishing meeting cadences, and monitoring performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. You will also analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement streamlined solutions to enhance team productivity and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Proven experience in creating and executing communication strategies that foster culture-building and effective cross-functional information sharing
- Ability to collaborate with leadership to develop strategic roadmaps that align with business goals, and to translate objectives into clear, actionable plans
- Skilled in setting up and maintaining meeting and reporting cadences that support leadership priorities, while ensuring accountability and transparency
- Strong capability in tracking KPIs and performance metrics to assess progress, support decision-making, and drive continuous improvement
- Demonstrated success in analyzing and refining operational processes to improve team productivity, efficiency, and overall effectiveness
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work seamlessly across teams and departments to promote alignment, knowledge sharing, and cohesive execution
Responsibilities
- Create and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that promotes culture-building efforts within the Marketplace team
- Facilitate cross-pollination of information and best practices across different teams and departments to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and maintain roadmaps that align with business goals and objectives
- Drive strategic initiatives by translating business needs into actionable plans and overseeing execution
- Establish and operationalize meeting and reporting cadences that align with leadership priorities, ensuring timely updates and accountability
- Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to assess progress and drive continuous improvement
- Analyze existing operational processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement streamlined solutions that enhance productivity and effectiveness
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to contribute ideas and participate in process refinement
