Summary

Join Bloomerang as an Outbound Business Development Representative (BDR) and play a key role in generating new business opportunities for our nonprofit clients. You will identify, engage, and qualify potential customers, creating demand and setting up meetings for our Account Executives. This role demands resilience, creativity, and strategic thinking within a fast-paced environment. You will master Bloomerang's product, prospect and engage potential clients, generate a sales pipeline, collaborate with the Account Executive team, and consistently meet sales targets. Success requires sales experience, a passion for nonprofits, and strong communication skills. Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience (SDR, BDR, or sales internship preferred) or business experience and a strong interest in SaaS sales
  • A passion for helping nonprofits and a desire to understand their challenges
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to adapt and push yourself every day without relying on warm leads
  • Resilience and persistence —you’re comfortable with rejection and see it as a learning opportunity
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills —both written and verbal to engage with senior leaders, and handle objections without hesitation
  • A curious and coachable mindset with a drive to continuously improve

Responsibilities

  • Master Bloomerang’s Product & Value: Become an expert on how Bloomerang’s fundraising, donor, and volunteer management solutions transform nonprofits to help them achieve their mission. You’ll need to quickly articulate value to busy decision-makers
  • Prospect & Engage: Break into cold accounts through research and strategically engaging decision makers through a mix of cold call, email, LinkedIn and personalized messages
  • Generate Pipeline: Create & nurture a 90-day rolling pipeline of high-quality potential meetings from scratch, using creative and strategic outreach to warm them up and convert to qualified meetings
  • Sales Collaboration : Partner closely with the Account Executive team to strategically build a pipeline that converts into closed revenue. You'll work together to identify high-potential accounts, refine outreach strategies, and ensure a seamless handoff of qualified opportunities that drive real business impact
  • Goal Achievement : Consistently meet (and ideally exceed) your business development targets, contributing to Bloomergang's overall success
  • Data Management & CRM Use : Ensure the accurate maintenance of sales data and lead tracking through Salesforce, keeping a record of all interactions and progress

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Salesforce, Outreach, 6Sense is a plus

  • As this is an incentive compensation role, there will be a base salary with annual on target earnings of $65,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws
  • This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters
