Responsibilities
- Review and proofread advertising materials across digital, print, and social media to ensure legal accuracy, regulatory compliance, and clarity
- Ensure all marketing content aligns with federal and state advertising laws, including FTC guidelines, GDPR, copyright, and trademark laws
- Assess advertising claims for substantiation and review disclosures to ensure they meet legal requirements
- Verify proper licensing and usage rights for third-party assets (e.g., music, images, video) utilized in campaigns
- Collaborate with program delivery and client partnership teams to identify and mitigate legal risks in advertising content
- Provide guidance on advertising standards to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with industry best practices
- Evaluate promotional campaigns, including incentives, rebates, sweepstakes, and loyalty programs, to ensure they comply with consumer protection laws
- Review promotional offers to ensure legally required disclaimers, terms, and conditions are included and clearly presented
- Verify that pricing, discounts, and financial incentives comply with federal and state advertising laws, such as truth-in-advertising and fair competition regulations
- Work closely with marketing teams to prevent misleading representations or deceptive advertising practices in offers and promotions
- Draft and approve contest and sweepstakes rules, ensuring proper disclosures, eligibility criteria, and compliance with state and federal laws
