Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program
  • 3+ proven experience as a Family Law paralegal
  • Strong knowledge of family law procedures, legal terminology, and document preparation
  • Proficient in using ADOBE applications
  • Proficiency in Legal Software – WestLaw and Clio

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent client service by assisting with inquiries, gathering necessary documentation, and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents to support attorneys in case preparation and strategy
  • Prepare and maintain legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and financial disclosure statements
  • Manage court filings, including e-filings, ensuring compliance with deadlines and requirements
  • Assist in managing and organizing case files, schedules, and deadlines
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as necessary
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness interviews, and trial logistics
