Remote Part Time Senior Accountant

Requirements

• CPA certification is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 to 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• High attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding accounting-related questions and concerns
• Liaise with the Senior Tax Accountant to address tax-related inquiries from clients
• Collaborate closely with the bookkeeper and junior accountant to ensure the timely completion of accounting projects
• Review and ensure accuracy of work submitted by the bookkeeper and junior accountant
• Step in to assist with bookkeeping or junior-level accounting tasks if team members are unavailable due to illness or other circumstances
• Monitor project timelines, identify potential issues, and take over responsibilities when necessary to ensure deadlines are met
• Provide support and guidance to junior team members, helping to resolve complex accounting issues as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with industry standards and company policies
• Send a weekly status report to the CEO detailing project progress and any issues that need attention
