Summary

Join Healthlink Advisors as their Patient Access Director for a contract role (tentatively late March 2025 - May 2026)! Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive operational playbook for patient access, focusing on strategic transformations and workflow optimization. You will implement changes, ensure seamless integration with IT systems (like Epic), and collaborate across various departments. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in healthcare operations, change management, and cross-functional collaboration. A key responsibility is creating a structured playbook outlining client actions for implementing and sustaining key patient access disciplines. This role requires strong leadership and a proven ability to drive efficiency and improve patient experience.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in patient access operations and industry best practices
  • Proven ability to lead strategic execution and change management
  • Hands-on experience with Epic and technology-driven operational improvements
  • Strong skills in operational restructuring, team leadership, and process improvement
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration across healthcare departments
  • Previous advisory or interim leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement best practices for patient access operations based on prior experience and industry standards
  • Lead transformational strategies to optimize workflows and improve performance
  • Collaborate across departments, including Operational, Clinical, Finance, HR, and IT leadership
  • Maximize the use of Epic capabilities during implementation, including MyChart, to create market advantages
  • Enhance efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction
  • Identify and execute strategies to improve authorization turnaround times
  • Standardize and consolidate appointment types to streamline scheduling
  • Assess and implement centralized vs. hybrid scheduling models to optimize access and operational efficiency
  • Design and execute a comprehensive playbook that provides actionable steps to implement key patient access improvements, ensuring long-term operational success
