Patient Navigator, Medical Assistant

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years clinical experience working in-person as an MA in an urgent care, emergency room, or busy family practice setting
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a focus on assisting patients in a healthcare environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant license - required

Responsibilities

• Offer assistance to patients by answering questions with empathy and precision, fostering a supportive relationship that promotes trust
• Help in maintaining and organizing medical records while ensuring their accuracy and confidentiality
• Respond to insurance-related questions by guiding patients through their coverage options, deductibles, and necessary claims procedures
• Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers by organizing ancillary diagnostic and lab appointments, delivering essential patient education, and conducting triage following the directives of the Provider team
• Reach out to patients to confirm adherence to recommendations, address any outstanding questions, and add a personal touch to their experience with Amaze
