Summary

Join our team as a Payroll Data Specialist and work with clients in the pre-implementation phase of payroll implementation. You will review critical payroll setup documents, register them with agencies, and assist clients with data import templates. This role requires excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Responsibilities

  • Manage a workload of action items (CTAs) with specific deadlines, ensuring timely completion within designated processing timeframes
  • Handle daily calls with external agencies (e.g., IRS), averaging several calls per week
  • Regularly follow up with stakeholders to ensure accurate tracking of client status
  • Respond to or close support tickets within one business day
  • Triage and resolve support tickets during assigned shifts, seeking additional assistance when necessary
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in tracking systems (e.g., Gainsight) with up-to-date client information
  • Ensure tasks and action items are updated in accordance with project stages and completed on schedule
  • Adhere to established guidelines for file organization, including proper naming conventions
  • Communicate promptly and effectively with team members and clients
  • Investigate new client accounts to identify and mitigate potential risks, such as payroll fraud
  • Assist in detecting and preventing other fraudulent activities, including unauthorized account changes or suspicious transactions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Payroll experience
  • Bamboo HRIS experience
  • Experience manipulating/cleaning data files in Excel
