Summary

Join BambooHR's Payroll Implementation Team as a Payroll Project Manager and guide new clients through their payroll system implementation journey. You will be responsible for setting up client accounts, training clients on BambooHR, importing payroll data, and troubleshooting system issues. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills. You will work with a collaborative team and have the opportunity to hone your project management skills and become a subject matter expert.   • Minimum 1 year of hands-on project management experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite applications
  • Experience training, mentoring, or developing others

  • Demonstrate impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
  • Show desire to learn payroll systems; prior payroll experience welcome but not required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

  • Guide clients simultaneously through comprehensive payroll implementations over 3-week periods
  • Set up new client accounts in BambooHR Payroll system with meticulous attention to detail
  • Train clients to become confident BambooHR payroll experts through hands-on coaching
  • Clean, validate, and import complex client payroll data including QTD/YTD financials, deductions, and tax information
  • Hold clients accountable to implementation timelines while maintaining positive, supportive relationships
  • Troubleshoot system and process issues independently, using your problem-solving skills
  • Manage detailed project plans, track milestones, and communicate progress regularly with leadership
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless client experiences and identify process improvements
  • Do your best, focused work, with a collaborative and supportive team
