Requirements

  • Experience processing multi-state payroll (California experience a plus)
  • At least 1 year of experience with ADP Payroll
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and high discretion
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of working under pressure
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Possessing a strong customer service orientation
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with HR and Benefits Administration (or a strong willingness to learn)
  • High School Diploma required; college degree or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, reconcile, and process payroll through ADP
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Calculate and adjust wages as needed
  • Manage employee changes, including processing new hires in HRIS Systems, terminations, garnishments, tax deductions, and more
  • Process workers' compensation and unemployment wage requests promptly
  • Submit data for leave and disability coverage processing and payment
  • Prepare payroll reports as required
  • Enforce federal, state, and local payroll compliance, advising management on actions needed
  • Update and maintain State and Local Withholding Tax Rates
  • Administer our 401(k) program and jurisdictional enrollments
  • Respond promptly to Payroll, HR, and Benefits inquiries
  • Process the HR team’s incoming mail and notices
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold payroll and HR integrity
  • Support new employee onboarding, serving as a key contact for payroll and HR questions
