Summary
Join Belvo, an open finance API platform, as a People Associate and play a key role in shaping and supporting our company culture. You will manage HR functions, including payroll, benefits, and employee relations, for our teams in Mexico and Colombia. This generalist position requires a proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a passion for creating a positive work environment. You will develop initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive culture, plan team-building events, and gather employee feedback. You will also oversee office management and support strategic HR projects, including leading hiring processes. This role is ideal for someone with HR experience in a fast-paced environment and a strong understanding of Mexican labor laws.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist role within a startup or fast-paced environment
- Data-oriented mindset and high attention to detail
- Knowledge of Mexican labor laws and experience with payroll processing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
- Proficiency in HR software, ATS for hiring, and general tools
- Fluent in Spanish and a high level of English
Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with Mexican and Colombian labor laws
- Manage benefits administration, including health insurance and other employee perks
- Serve as the primary contact for employee relations, addressing questions on policies, benefits, and HR processes
- Manage employee files, contracts, and HR systems to ensure accurate records
- Develop initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive company culture
- Plan and execute team-building events, workshops, and activities to boost morale and engagement
- Gather regular feedback on employee experience and propose improvements
- Oversee office management tasks, ensuring a well-organized, clean, and functional workspace
- Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and building management for smooth day-to-day office operations
- Support the development and execution of Strategic HR projects (e.g. annual performance assessments and feedback processes)
- Lead hiring processes, from posting job descriptions to onboarding new hires
- Track and analyze HR metrics, providing insights to leadership for continuous improvement
