Requirements

  • 5-7 years in People, HR, or People Ops experience, in roles such as Generalist or HR Business Partner
  • Experience building or refining people systems in growing or startup environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or influence cross-functional partnerships
  • Hands-on experience with employee relations, policies, and compliance in AU
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a consultative partner to AU leadership and global People team
  • Translate business needs into thoughtful people strategies and org design
  • Coach managers on team dynamics, growth, and performance conversations
  • Build trust and communication across AU and global teams
  • Identify and resolve people-related friction before it escalates
  • Build and manage foundational people processes (onboarding, leave, compliance)
  • Own local employment policies and ensure compliance with AU employment law
  • Implement scalable HR systems aligned with global frameworks
  • Support or lead AU-specific systems work
  • Improve clarity and consistency in workflows and documentation
  • Manage employee relations issues with rigor and empathy
  • Serve as a confidential resource for employees navigating workplace issues
  • Collaborate with legal or external consultants as needed
  • Foster an inclusive, transparent culture through active feedback loops
  • Represent AU perspectives in global initiatives and decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working across global teams or in a matrixed org
  • Exposure to HRIS systems and digital tools (e.g., Lever, Lattice, Rippling)
  • Experience in clean energy, technology, or mission-driven organizations
  • Familiarity with modern performance, engagement, or L&D practices
  • Background in coaching, facilitation, or change management

  • Midpoint: $125,000
