Summary
Join Placer.ai, a rapidly growing big data startup, as their People Operations Manager. Enhance HR operations by ensuring smooth and efficient business processes. Drive process improvements and support the development and implementation of policies to optimize employee experience and foster a productive workplace culture. Manage HR core functional areas, partner with department leaders on key HR initiatives, address employee relations concerns, and support employees with inquiries. Partner with leadership on training and coaching initiatives, administer review and feedback cycles, manage visa administration, and provide ongoing support to HR leadership. Perform other projects and HR duties as assigned. This role offers the opportunity to work with top-notch talent in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience
- Proven success enhancing process workflow and leveraging automations within HRIS systems, and service delivery platforms
- High level of discretion and integrity
- Project management skills and experience leading cross-functional initiatives
- An aptitude for problem solving and the ability to operate at both a macro and micro level
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding in dealing with sensitive employee issues
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask and work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal employment law and regulations
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing HR core functional areas: benefit strategy and administration; compliance administration; policy refinement and implementation
- Partner with department leaders on key HR initiatives such as team and employee lifecycle changes, job descriptions and performance management
- Address employee relations concerns, including but not limited to conflict resolution, management support and escalating to Dir, HR or VP People or legal counsel as appropriate
- Support employees in all People Operations inquiries and gather insights that will lead to continuous improvements to support efficiency and scalability
- Partner with the VP People and Dir, HR on training and coaching initiatives related to HR programs, policies and procedures
- Administration of review and feedback cycles
- Visa Management; manage the administrative work for applications and renewals, and immigration audits for all divisions
- Provide ongoing support to HR Director and / or VP People with strategy, reporting, and project management
- Perform other projects and HR duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience leading or supporting an HRIS implementation and associated change management
