Summary

Join charity:water's Marketing & Growth team as a Performance Marketing Manager and lead the development and execution of cutting-edge content strategies across social media and digital platforms. You will oversee performance marketing efforts, identify new acquisition channels, collaborate with stakeholders to track performance, and partner with Product and Data teams to optimize user journeys. This hands-on role requires strong analytical skills, experience in paid media, and expertise in A/B testing and budget management. You'll work closely with internal and external teams to ensure engaging, on-brand content aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record of success in performance marketing and a passion for driving impact through digital growth. This remote position is open to U.S.-based applicants.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, with hands-on expertise in paid media strategy and execution (Facebook/Instagram, Google Ads)
  • Proven track record of launching and optimizing high-impact campaigns while effectively managing CAC and LTV goals
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and act on data to improve performance
  • Experience in A/B testing for creative assets, landing pages, and conversion rate optimization
  • Expertise in forecasting and managing paid marketing budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently
  • Deep knowledge of the digital media landscape (owned, earned, and paid) with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends and ad tech innovations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights and strategy clearly
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Creative, and Finance teams to drive growth
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other performance tracking tools

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize performance marketing efforts by managing our agency partners across paid social and paid search
  • Identify, test, and scale new acquisition channels—including TV, live events, direct mail, podcasts, and more—to expand our reach
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (VP of Marketing & Growth, Revenue Operations, and Finance) to forecast and track performance against CAC and LTV targets
  • Partner with Product and Data teams to uncover insights, optimize user journeys, and implement features that drive growth, engagement, and conversion
  • Develop and maintain a performance marketing dashboard, tracking key metrics and regularly sharing actionable insights with the team
  • Work closely with the Creative team to develop compelling campaigns and assets that maximize donor acquisition
  • Optimize user journeys with Marketing and Product teams, ensuring a seamless, engaging experience that moves donors through the acquisition funnel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Thrived in fast-paced, resourceful environments, where agility and scrappiness were key to success
  • Experience with Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and advanced attribution, using data-driven insights to optimize spend and strategy
  • A strong understanding of AI tools and automation, integrating them into your daily workflow to enhance performance marketing efforts
  • Experience in the nonprofit or fundraising space, with a passion for driving impact through digital growth
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Looker, and Optimizely, using these tools to track performance, optimize campaigns, and improve conversion
  • A knack for securing donated media and pro-bono services, helping stretch budgets and maximize impact
  • Basic front-end web development skills, enabling you to make quick optimizations to landing pages for better conversion
