Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing platforms and infrastructure, particularly in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code practices (Terraform, Ansible)
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or similar
• Experience in building and scaling systems that meet industry security and data compliance standards
• Demonstrated experience in system monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery planning
• Excellent leadership and people management skills with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
• Exceptional communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus) with the capability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of the platform’s infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security
• Design and implement strategies for scaling our services and applications while optimizing resources
• Collaborate closely with the Product Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of platform requirements with product goals
• Manage vendor relations and oversee relationships with cloud service providers
• Develop and enforce best practices for DevOps, CI/CD, and automation to streamline operations
• Monitor situations, manage incidents, and conduct root cause analyses to provide solutions to complex technical problems
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions that align with our growth goals
• Mentor and lead a team of infrastructure engineers and DevOps specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
