Summary
Join Servus Credit Union as a Platform Systems Administrator II! This full-time, temporary remote position (37.5 hours/week) offers a competitive salary ($78,349 to $97,937 annually) and runs until January 30, 2026. You will be a key player in the Platform Operations COE, collaborating with various teams to design, implement, and maintain platform solutions. The role requires significant experience with Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, automation, and networking. Requirements
- Post- secondary education in computer technology or IT related discipline from an accredited institution or a minimum of 7 years of progressing IT experience
- 3-5 years of experience and considerable skill in working in a Sysadmin role
- 3-5 years of experience working with Windows and Linux servers, complex applications, web technologies, Microsoft Exchange/365, PowerShell, IIS, Active Directory and Nutanix
- 1-3 years of experience and broad knowledge of deploying and maintaining machines in a virtual environment (e.g. Nutanix/Azure)
- 2-4 years of experience with IP networking, network security firewalls, and load balancing
- 1-2 years of experience in various aspects of setting up automation for effective Integration, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Testing of applications
- Application delivery automation tools

- Aware of Microsoft Office product line and opportunities
- Aware of virtualization and IaaS, ideally Nutanix, Microsoft Azure, and Windows Server
Responsibilities
- Design, document, build, automate, test and implement projects assigned by the COE or functional lead
- Support resolving Operation issues in a holistic manner to mitigate issues from repeating
- Participate in the On Call rotation
- Design, build, automate, test, and document Platform Operations solutions
- Handle multiple demands and competing priorities while ensuring deliverables are met
- Provide work estimates as inputs into the planning process within streams
- Triage and mitigate operational issues and participate in reducing and preventing outages
- Follow the Platform COE standards, processes, procedures and expectations to ensure quality and timeliness of outputs
- Maintain Platform Operations solutions owned by the Platform Operations COE
- Monitor, automate, perform maintenance, improvements, and upgrades as required
- Possess good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Communicate potential solutions and information as required in a way that fosters a culture of trust and collaboration
- Work on development and maintenance of systems, tools, products, documentation, help files, user manuals and guidelines
- Foster a culture of team collaboration and continuous improvement
- Promote active listening with team members
- Communicate in a timely manner, escalate own issues and potential team issues appropriately to COE Leader or Functional Leader as appropriate
- Accurately prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging
- Promote and support Peer Review of team deliverables, contributing to the development of consistent and effective documentation that adheres to team standards and templates
- Contribute to the Platform Operations COE Knowledge Base
- Build, mature and deliver capabilities that are appropriate for Servus within the COE
- Follow policies, standards, and expectations related to Platform Operations
- Contribute to knowledge sharing among peers
- Proactively share knowledge with members of IS to help them adopt DevOps best practices
- Sysadmin II's are expected deliver high quality projects and work that follows the COE defined standards to enable DevOps in IS. You will uphold and enhance processes and standards prescribed by the Platform COE. You will proactively share knowledge with members of IS to help them adopt DevOps best practices, and you will be a resource for new and emerging colleagues cross functionally and help grow their knowledge, while following the IS behavioral expectations while supporting a COE that fosters a culture of continuous improvement and maturing skillsets
