Requirements

  • Current residence in MA, RI, CT, NH, VT, ME
  • 3+ years of experience with the smart home, builder or electrical markets, including experience with the specification and construction process
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, or 3+ years of technical product sales
  • Knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Excellent listening skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including programming experience, Keynote proficiency, iPad/iPhone applications, webinar platforms, etc
  • Ability to adapt priorities in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Ability to work a variable schedule with ability for extensive quarterly/monthly travel
  • Experience with ERP and customer relationship management software

Responsibilities

  • Drive the sales of Savant power, lighting and climate through electrical and solar contractors looking to expanding their offering and profitability to include load management, battery storage systems, EV Car Charging, smart lighting and smart climate
  • Support the opening of new distributor branch locations, including: Educating outside and inside sales team
  • Identifying opportunities for brand building and category education through electrical and solar distribution branches, including managing product demos, education/marketing material, signage, etc
  • Generating demand from local electrical and solar contractors
  • Hosting and conducting local sales education and training events to prospective electrical and solar contractors, driving initial sales adoption on smart power products
  • Supporting the onboarding process of new electrical and solar contractors, including providing support with designing and quoting load management and battery storage into projects
  • Educate local builders on the benefits and investment return for the inclusion of power monitoring and management systems, as well as support the education of their clients at national and local events
  • Understand the scalability of Savant solutions from entry level, main use monitoring to whole home, microgrid and be able to recommend a solution for every project, including additive smart home features like smart lighting and climate
  • Achieve sales quotas and activity benchmarks, including quarterly and annual revenue quotas, and product/customer adoption targets
