Remote PR and Communications Manager

Summary

Join Babylist as a PR and Communications Manager, supporting PR initiatives and VIP relationships in the Greater Los Angeles area. This role will focus on project management, writing press releases, awards submissions, and internal updates, while also partnering with data teams to utilize data to support stories about trends and craft a story that supports Babylist’s strategic goals.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in PR, ideally with a mix of experience in consumer and tech
• 2+ years of experience working with celebrities, influencers, agencies, and management teams
• Creative thinker and problem solver
• Deep understanding of strategic PR initiatives and media relations
• Extraordinary written communication skills
• Natural curiosity and understanding of the pop culture landscape
• Experience and knowledge of the ever-evolving influencer ecosystem
• Metrics savvy and can connect PR and VIP initiatives to brand measurement
• Understanding of social media (experience is a plus)

Responsibilities

• Manage PR initiatives and VIP relationships in the Greater Los Angeles area
• Project manage, write and edit press releases, awards submissions, and internal updates
• Partner with data team to utilize data to support stories about trends and craft a story that supports Babylist’s strategic goals
• Measure the impact of PR initiatives on a monthly and quarterly basis, providing written updates to executives
• Manage influencer agency in LA, building key relationships with them and ensuring they are working towards our goals
• Be the face of the Babylist brand for a key audience of celebrities, influencers and management teams, responsible for building and nurturing relationships both virtually and in-person
• Partner with Sales team to negotiate and integrate Brand Partners into opportunities with VIP, building new revenue streams for Babylist
• Support timely reactive communications and crisis communications initiatives
