Summary

Join Innovative's Professional Services team as a Solutions Architect, designing, implementing, and managing clients' cloud infrastructure using AWS. Collaborate with team members to migrate customer systems to the cloud, optimize solutions, assist developers, and recommend technologies. Work with account executives and customers to plan technical projects, understanding and documenting needs and success criteria. Partner with sales and alliance teams to ensure optimal financial models for customers. Act as a subject matter expert for AWS, demonstrating deep understanding of cloud migration methodologies and at least one serverless AWS service. This role involves approximately 4-5 days of travel per month and requires a remote RTO policy of visiting the Rochester, NY office twice a quarter. The salary range is $150,000-$175,000 annually, with an estimated OTE of $220,000-$250,000 including commission.

Requirements

  • 5+ years professional IT experience
  • 2+ years professional AWS or Azure experience
  • At least (1) AWS or Azure Certification (professional level)
  • This position will travel on average 4-5 days per month to customers and AWS offices in North America
  • Innovative also has a remote RTO policy - all remote workers must travel into our Rochester, NY offices 2x quarter (company paid)

Responsibilities

  • Working with Innovative Account Executives and customers to plan technical projects
  • Understanding and documenting customer need and success criteria
  • Planning projects and programs during the presales cycle
  • Reviewing and managing project milestones daily
  • Providing weekly reporting on personal metrics
  • Working with the Innovative Sales and Partner Alliances teams to ensure the best financial model for our customers
  • Understanding partner and Innovative customer inventive programs
  • Working with the sales team to develop value-driven business cases
  • Clear understanding of business drivers behind cloud adoption
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform
  • Must have a deep understanding of modern cloud migration methodologies and practices
  • Top candidates will demonstrate deep expertise in at least one serverless AWS service

  • Innate ability to understand customer need and pain points
  • Strong aptitude for modern cloud architecture
  • Having a backbone and strong will to get things done
  • Natural customer obsession and ability to empathize with customer’s business needs
  • Ability to participate in and lead crucial conversations with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Quality of scoping activities, measured by numbers of change order corrections and project manager satisfaction scoring
  • Presentation and customer interaction experience, measured by sales team satisfaction scoring
  • Continuous learning, measured by attainment of additional AWS certifications

Benefits

  • Salary range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000 annually
  • This position is also eligible for a commission plan, based on closed AWS project revenue
  • The expected annual OTE for this position is estimated to be between $220,000-$250,000
