Summary

You will understand Butterfly's strategic and competitive position in ultrasound technology, including chips, devices, developer platforms, and user experiences. Your goal is to deliver products that help partners build best-in-class products on the Butterfly platform. This role involves managing partner relationships, planning and managing projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and incorporating data and market analysis into product strategy. The position reports to the VP of Product and offers a hybrid work environment based in New York City.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in Platform Product Management
  • Experience building products from the ground up (0-1 products) or working on platform/ecosystem products
  • Skilled in managing strategic partner relationships or coordinating roadmaps and deliverables with third parties
  • Experience building developer relationships and/or creating products for developer audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate a full product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, and driving prioritization through pre- and post-launch execution
  • Proven experience working collaboratively with engineering, design, and user research teams
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical leadership skills
  • Experience presenting to senior executive audiences
  • Background in a consumer-focused technology company

Responsibilities

  • Drive impactful strategies and execute initiatives that can significantly influence Butterflyโ€™s direction
  • Understand Butterflyโ€™s strategic and competitive position in the future of ultrasound, including hardware, devices, developer platforms, and user experiences. Deliver products that are aligned with our strategy and recognized as best in the industry
  • Manage relationships with partners, build a thriving ecosystem ensuring their success and ability to deliver value to our platform
  • Plan, initiate, and manage projects for developer products and platforms
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive product vision, define product requirements, coordinate resources from other groups (design, legal, policy, etc.), and guide the team through key milestones
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to balance the needs between near-term developer requirements and long-term platform advancements
  • Incorporate data, research, and market analysis to inform product strategy and roadmap

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working as a developer or software engineer
