Join 20four7VA as a Procurement Specialist and contribute to building a PRC-free supply chain focused on Taiwan's aerospace, defense, and high-trust electronics sectors. You will source, qualify, and maintain a trusted supply chain, directly impacting sales, catalogue development, and procurement for Western-aligned markets. This role demands fluent Mandarin for direct engagement with Taiwanese suppliers. Initial responsibilities include creating a Taiwan supplier catalogue, developing a supplier heatmap, identifying marketable products, and building a BOM substitution library. The position requires significant experience in procurement, supply chain management, and familiarity with aerospace and defense industries. Success will be measured by KPIs such as supplier coverage, compliance, BOM substitutions, time-to-market, and engagement rates.

Requirements

• Language: Native or fluent Mandarin, plus professional English (written and spoken)
• Industry Knowledge: 3–5 years in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management—preferably in aerospace, defence, or high-tech manufacturing
• Technical Familiarity: Understanding of semiconductors, electronics, power systems, or mechanical components
• Compliance Awareness: Knowledge of NDAA, PRC-free sourcing, and international export control considerations
• Proven ability to work with Taiwanese suppliers and navigate cultural/business protocols
• Proficient in Google Sheets/Excel; able to manage structured datasets and supplier scorecards
• 15 verified suppliers (with compliance notes, specs, and certifications)
• Supplier heatmap matrix with lead times, pricing bands, and export experience
• 5 PRC → Taiwan BOM substitutions
• Summary of top 3 immediate supply opportunities

Responsibilities

• Source, qualify, and maintain a PRC-free, trusted-origin supply chain with a strong focus on Taiwan’s aerospace, defence, and high-trust electronics sectors
• Your outputs will feed directly into sales, catalogue development, and rapid-response procurement for NATO, Five Eyes, Ukraine, and other Western-aligned markets
• Live Taiwan supplier catalogue in line with our licensed export scope: semiconductors, PCBA, power systems, optics, comms, avionics, airframe/mechanical components, and software/services
• Supplier heatmap showing capabilities, pricing, lead times, certifications, export readiness, and compliance status (NDAA / PRC-free / trusted origin)
• Top-10 Quick Wins report identifying immediately marketable products for NATO/Five Eyes customers
• BOM Substitution Library for high-demand PRC-origin components with Taiwan alternatives
• Gap report showing where Taiwan cannot currently supply competitively, to avoid wasted bidding
• Research, shortlist, and verify Taiwan-based suppliers across all licensed product categories
• Assess compliance (NDAA, PRC-free, trusted origin) and gather proof-of-origin documentation
• Confirm export experience, licensing, production capacity, and willingness to engage in private label or contract manufacturing
• Conduct outreach in Mandarin to build trust and secure competitive terms
• Negotiate MOQs, sample policies, pricing bands, and lead times directly with supplier decision-makers
• Maintain long-term relationships for ongoing procurement and urgent fulfilment needs
• Maintain a live supplier database (Sheets/CRM) with detailed specs, certifications, pricing, and compliance notes
• Work with internal teams to ensure product data is ready for client-facing catalogues
• Monitor Taiwan industry developments, new capabilities, and trade show announcements
• Analyze customer bills of materials containing PRC-origin parts and identify Taiwan-made equivalents
• Document substitutions with spec comparisons, lead times, and pricing
• Provide sourcing input for urgent, high-priority orders (e.g., Ukraine shortages, NATO tenders)
• Ensure all supplier entries meet internal quality checklist requirements: compliance proof, category tagging, source links, and certification verification
• Maintain a clean, auditable record of supplier communications and compliance documents
