Summary

Join Tala, a company on a mission to empower the financially underserved, as a Product Designer (UX/UI). You will be a key contributor to high-performing teams, tackling challenging user experience problems and delivering timely results. Working closely with senior designers, your work will directly impact millions of users globally. Your responsibilities span the entire design process, from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring a human-centered approach. You will translate research findings into effective design solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role requires a minimum of two years of professional UX/UI design experience in a fast-paced tech environment and proficiency in Figma and both English and Spanish.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional UX/UI design experience in a fast-paced tech environment
  • Experience with usability research, gathering requirements and rapidly translating information and insights into design experiments, solutions, and artifacts (diagrams, flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, usability tests, visual design, etc.)
  • Fluency in Figma
  • Fluency in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Independently partner with cross-functional team members in the conceptualization, and delivery of our customer-focused products
  • Create high-quality interaction design to improve ease of use, discoverability and comprehension, while being able to meet requirements, timelines and tell the story of the work
  • Leverage and extend the use of established design systems, style guide, patterns and assets in the creation of UX analysis, solutions, and deliverables
  • Participate in and facilitate usability testing through prototyping and research efforts to ensure that all projects are driven by user needs and business outcomes
