Summary
Join Ordergroove's dynamic product team as a Product Manager! You will own the strategic plan and roadmap for a product line, understand market needs and user pain points, and craft product vision and solutions. Responsibilities include product strategy, management, go-to-market planning, delivery, project management, and team leadership. You'll need 2+ years of experience in a B2B software product management role and key skills in ownership, action orientation, data focus, business acumen, learning agility, and strategic agility. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a software product management role, preferably a B2B software company
- Clear track record of ownership and fast-paced professional growth throughout your career
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done no matter the task
- Willingness to commit to a fast-paced startup working culture
- Solid reasoning skills
- Ability to solve problems quickly
- Think on your feet
- Generalize solutions addressing abstracted problems
- Understanding of business opportunities, constraints, and risks for both Ordergroove and our customers
- Able to onboard quickly and dive into new challenges without hesitation
- Demonstrated success developing product vision, strategy and roadmap for a product line
- Adept at building cross-functional relationships
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, which can be tailored individually for a wide variety of audiences, both internal and external
Responsibilities
- Own the strategic plan and roadmap for one of Ordergrooveโs product lines
- Identify key initiatives to guide the product forward
- Break those plans into manageable, measurable, achievable release plans
- Understand market needs and user pain points
- Craft product vision and solutions to address them
- Phase solutions to deliver incremental business value
- Validate assumptions and iterate along the way
- Start with the end goal in mind, the impact your product is intended to have in the market, then work backwards from that
- Donโt treat go to market as something that comes in the end, but instead start with it
- Think of go to market as a critical part of building product
- Build and maintain an organized and prioritized product backlog of user stories for new product improvements
- Collaborate with UX design, data science, engineering, marketing, sales, and other product managers from concept to release
- Work closely with engineering to bring new product concepts to life through the entirety of the development cycle, including post-release study and testing
- Ensure development stays on track
- Remove roadblocks as they arise
- Step in wherever needed
- Identify process gaps and opportunities
- Take on ever-increasing responsibilities
- Communicate your plans and product vision to the company
- Provide mentorship for other team members
